For the most minimalist of beauty routines, stick to these three items in winter.
Anthelios Daily AOX Antioxidant Serum with Sunscreen
A silky cream that goes on thinner than most sunscreens, and doesn’t leave your face looking too shiny or oily. It has never caused my sensitive skin to break out or react. The broad spectrum SPF 50 leaves your skin protected from UVA and UVB rays in winter. Although SPF 50 might seem excessive in the colder months, most people don’t apply the required amount of sunscreen to offer maximal protection. Besides that, this sunscreen also contains Baicalin, Vitamin Cg and Vitamin E, but I don’t know whether that makes much difference. Regardless, this is the best facial sunscreen I’ve tried, and I’ve tried many.
L’Occitane Hand Cream
This cream is very rich, and a little goes a long way. It’s the perfect travel size, and fits easily into my coat pocket, knapsack, travel beauty pouch, and clutch. I use it moisturize my chapped hands, and am careful to apply it to my nails and cuticles, as well as to my lips if they’re chapped to the point of discomfort. This limited edition set of 5 offers the best value at $8.40 per tube, but a single tube can be purchased for $12.
Chantecaille Lip Chic Lipstick
Smooth, moisturizing, and long-lasting. I used to rely on Bite Beauty exclusively, but noticed that their lipsticks dry out very quickly and break, making application difficult. Although Chantecaille products are on the more expensive side of lip colour, they hold up well over time, and come in a wide range of colours, suitable for different skin tones. Also paraben-free, sulfate-free, phthalate-free, synthetic fragrance-free, synthetic dye-free, mineral oil-free, and cruelty free.
