Ever wonder by high street fashion clothes look the same?
It’s because they are.
High street designers subscribe to services offered by trend-forecasting companies. While these companies provide insight into what colors, fabrics, and styles will be popular, their services can also include thousands of clothing templates.
Many big high street designers–but not all–pay extra to have access to these templates.
With access to these ready-to-wear garments, high street designers only need to offer minimal input. If they want to design a new pair of pants, all they need to do is choose a pair from the template, and modify it slightly by changing the colors or patterns that are forecast to be popular.
That’s why it seems that many of the garments are same–they are, but with minor tweaks.
